The Aurora Film Society is proud to host a day-long celebration of the short films nominated for the 2026 Academy Awards. These short subjects represent a diverse range of voices from all over the world, demonstrating that filmmakers don’t need to fill 90 minutes to tell a compelling story.
We’ll be showing these short films in blocks organized by the three categories (Live Action, Animated, and Documentary) on Sunday, March 8, at The Venue (21 S. Broadway in downtown Aurora). You can choose to purchase tickets only for the blocks that you’re most interested in, or join us for all three programs. Tickets are $12 for a single block, or $30 for all three.
The times for each block will be as follows:
- Animated: 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
- Live Action: 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
- Documentary: 5:45 p.m. to 8:25 p.m.
Tickets are available to purchase from Eventbrite or at the Venue box office on the day of the screenings.
