AFS Virtual Movie Club – “Le Trou” (1960 Becker) – December 15

The Aurora Film Society Virtual Film Club brings you “Le Trou”  for our December 15th discussion.  This film is now streaming on the Critereon Channel.

Four prison inmates (Michel Constantin, Raymond Meunier, Jean Keraudy, Philippe Leroy) have been hatching a plan to literally dig out of jail when another prisoner, Claude Gaspard (Marc Michel), is moved into their cell. They take a risk and share their plan with the newcomer. Over the course of three days, the prisoners and friends break through the concrete floor using a bed post and begin to make their way through the sewer system — yet their escape is anything but assured.

We invite you to join us via Zoom on December 15th at 7pm for analysis of “Le Trou”.  We have added a link in the pulldown menu under the Virtual Movie Club button to make it easier to participate in our discussions every month.

Check out the selected films for our theatre screenings too.  Subscribers and their guests returned last month in fairly large numbers for our screening of “The Death Of Stalin”.  The film had all of us rolling in the aisles.  Join us this month for “Woman At War” and bring a friend who loves movies!
